Commercial solar is fundamentally a local trade. The roof survey, structural calculation, DNO liaison, council planning conversation, and post-commissioning site visits all benefit from a partner who can be on site within an hour. We work with 19 independently-operated installer and contractor businesses across the UK — one per major region — and route each enquiry to the partner whose location, accreditations, and capacity best fit the project.
Every partner on this page has been vetted on three criteria: verifiable trading history (Companies House records, real reviewable customer base), active relevant accreditations (MCS for solar PV, NICEIC for electrical, RECC for consumer-facing work, or sector equivalents), and a credible delivery model (own engineers and electricians, not subcontracted-out lead-flippers). We do not pay or accept payment for placement on this page — partners earn their spot through delivered work.
How the network operates
When you submit a quote through this site, we triage the enquiry on three axes: project location (mapped to the nearest partner office and travel time), project type (rooftop PV, ground-mount, battery-only, heat pump combined, EV charging integration), and project scale (sub-100 kW vs 100-500 kW vs 500 kW-plus — different partners have different sweet spots). The enquiry then routes to one to two partner businesses whose specialism and location fit best. You speak directly to the local installer for survey, design, fixed-price proposal and delivery — we provide the SEO Dons-backed first-touch and quality control.
What the network is not: it is not a lead-selling exchange. We don't auction enquiries to whoever pays the most. Partners are placed because their fit is right for your project, full stop. Where two partners equally fit a brief, we'll typically introduce both and let the buyer choose on the basis of their site visit, proposal quality and chemistry.
Why local matters for commercial solar
The DNO process alone makes local delivery a major advantage. UK Power Networks, Northern Powergrid, SSEN, NGED Western, SP Energy Networks, NIE — each DNO has different application timelines, different pre-application engagement processes, different in-house engineers to liaise with. A partner who has filed twenty G99 applications with Northern Powergrid in the last two years gets a fundamentally faster connection offer than a partner submitting their first application to that DNO. Local trading history compounds into delivery speed.
The same logic applies to council planning. The conservation officer at Westminster City Council, the planning team at Edinburgh, the listed-buildings consultant at North Yorkshire — these are people, with patterns of decision-making that experienced local installers know. National installers can be excellent at the technical work but slower at the soft sign-offs. A regional specialist who already has working relationships with the local planning authority moves a project from EOI to commissioning materially faster.
Site visits are the third axis. A 50 kW office rooftop install in Hertfordshire might need three site visits during the design phase: structural survey, electrical infrastructure review, and a final post-design walk-through. With a local partner those are three hour-long visits over two weeks. With a national installer they're three day-long trips with travel costs that ultimately show up in the quote.
The regions we cover
Our partner network covers ten core UK regions, each with at least one specialist installer below. Where a region has multiple partners — Yorkshire and the South West, for example — partners specialise differently within the region (one focused on commercial electrical, another on combined heat-pump-plus-solar, etc.) so we can route enquiries by project type as well as location.

What our partners deliver
The partner network spans the full commercial renewables stack. Between them, we cover:
- Commercial solar PV from 8 kW rooftop hair salons up to 5 MW ground-mount logistics parks.
- Battery storage — GivEnergy, Tesla Powerwall Commercial, SolarEdge Energy Bank, Solis hybrid systems, AlphaESS commercial.
- EV charging infrastructure — 7 kW workplace chargers up to DC rapid 150 kW installations with OZEV grant administration.
- Heat pump replacement of gas — air-source and ground-source, often combined with solar PV in IETF or Salix Finance bids.
- Solar thermal hot water — for high-hot-water-demand sites (care homes, leisure centres, food production) where PV alone doesn't match the load profile.
- Commercial electrical works — three-phase upgrades, switchgear renewal, factory wiring, BS 7671 18th Edition certified installs.
- Solar O&M and maintenance — for systems already installed by another contractor needing inverter replacement, cleaning, monitoring repair or yield audit.
- ESG and carbon reporting — Scope 2 emission calculations, net zero pathway planning, SECR-compliant reporting alongside the physical install.
Get matched with a partner
Submit a quote through this site and we'll route to the most appropriate partner within one working day. Quote brief should include: postcode, building type, approximate roof or ground area available, annual electricity consumption (or copy of your last 12 months of bills), any planning constraints (listed building, conservation area), and your funding preference (cash purchase plus AIA, asset finance, or PPA). Within seven working days the partner will return a fixed-price proposal with a PVSyst yield model and full bill of materials.
